Abroad with Kat is the practice of Katja Schübl, a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie (licensed under the German Heilpraktikergesetz, HeilprG) offering therapy in native English for expats and immigrants. She sees clients in person at her practice in Munich-Lehel and online.
Kat grew up between the United States and Germany and has moved between the two countries several times, so she works from first-hand experience of disconnection and identity questions that come with life abroad. Before training as a therapist she worked for 25 years as a documentary filmmaker and journalist. Her approach combines cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
