Zulassungsautomat is a private online vehicle registration service based in Dorsten, run by Gabal e.K. It handles registration, change of keeper and deregistration for all German registration offices, without an appointment or a visit to the office. Licence plates can be ordered separately.
The site is available in English and many other languages, so you can submit your vehicle details and documents online and follow each step by email. You need proof of insurance (an eVB number) before registering, so sort out your car insurance first.
